What We Look For

We're always looking for great people to join us at UpTech!
  • "T-shaped" Background. Although we have specific roles we're looking to fill, we prefer "T-shaped" employees who have deep experience in at least one area, but with broad interests, flexibility, and a willingness to learn.
  • Mid-to-Senior Level Experience. Although we're more interested in a good fit than a specific amount of experience, you need to be comfortable taking on complex projects with minimal day-to-day oversight and supervision.
  • Excellent Communication Skills. We love nerds and strong opinions, but playing nice with others is also important.
  • Diversity. Finding a good fit to us means finding people who add to the company culture rather than just fit right in. Diversity of all kinds is welcome and supported.

Design

We are actively seeking designers to join the team at UpTech. We work with a mix of freelance/part-time and full-time designers, so just be upfront about what you're looking for!

Product

Can you take a founder's vision and translate that into a coherent strategy and action plan? Good at chasing down requirements and making sure design and dev stay on track? Able to turn analytics into insights that drive decision making? We need you! Get in touch.

Development

Not afraid of complex problems? Have deep expertise in one area or technology, but excited to learn something new if a project demands it? We are especially interested in people with Flutter experience right now, but if you are a strong dev with solid full-stack experience, we need you! Get in touch.

Work in OC or remote

Work from our office in Tustin, CA, your home office, or wherever you are most productive.

That said, we aren't international yet – you need to be eligible to legally work in the U.S.

No crazy hours

Will there be the occasional big push? Sure. But as a rule, we work normal hours.

There is always more work to do. Long hours usually mean some combination of unrealistic expectations and poor planning. We try to avoid those.

Profit Sharing

You make the company succeed, and as it does, you get to share in the profits.

Employees eligible to participate after 1 year. The longer you're here, the bigger your share.

UpTech contributes 3% of your salary to your 401K, whether you participate or not.
